This painting is one that I just recently finished but never got proper digital shots for. I decided that while I had a couple of free minutes, to make a post and show you my most recent work in traditional media--my foremost favorite. This is a 20x16 oil painting on linen, entitled Smell The Roses. (Thanks Jami) This painting, like most of my work is about enjoying the small moments, which is why I thought Jami's title idea was incredibly poigent. At the end of a day, month, year, our lives even, all we have is a memory. I hope to use my art as a means of "saving time in a bottle," like my mom is fond of saying, and allowing people to enjoy the small moments a little bit more.

Beautiful painting, Rob! Have you made a comment on Toni's blog saying that you're up and running? She'd LOVE to be able to see all of your artwork. I'm honored that you'd ask my opinion for a title. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy and somehow contributional. Thanks, cause you have no idea how hard it is to not have artistic abilities. :) At least I'm sort of creative.
Ro-Bear . . . don't you know that you can't just spring something like that on a pregnant woman? Here I sit bawling my eyes out!!! It is absolutely beautiful and for me, priceless beyond measure! I'm overwhelmed at your talent and so thankful you're willing to share it with me (not to mention paint my exceptionally attractive children) :) LOVE YOU!
Rob,
Very Good job on the painting, it is awesome. I am glad that you have started a blog, that way we can keep up with you and see how you are doing. You may or may not be interested, but I came across some artwork that I thought was absolutely amazing (not that yours isn't). I thought I would share it with you. here is the link: http://www.marlinadamsart.com I especially like his landscapes. Talk to you soon, Tyler
