Happy Easter 2013

This has been a very different Easter from usual. No egg decorating, or Easter egg hunts. No family picnics, or the traditional egg-stravaganza! I am adding some eggs from our past Easter traditions, it's fun to look and remember. Even though its been "different" it's been a happy day. I have felt peace and the power of the atonement as its soothed my aching heart! I know Jesus is the Christ! He atoned for my sins, sadness, sorrow and sickness. I love Him and I am so thankful to know the atonement is real! I love you family!

New fire pit!

DeMar made me this amazing fire pit! It's beautiful and I love it.

Sisters ready for women's conference!

Niki was in charge of the speakers for her stakes women's conference. She asked all if the "guymon"sisters to participate, unfortunately Aunt Danna was a little stressed with Nolan's wedding, etc. so she didn't help this time. But Darlene, Debbie and I spoke. It was awesome to be part of such a wonderful event! Thanks Niki for letting us do a sister act.

Fun in Smithfield

Elsa invited us up to Smithfield for the weekend and we had a great time! From the minute we got there until we gave our last goodbye hug she kept us laughing. She said so many awesome things. . . Here are a few;
She told grandpa, "thank you for helping me brush my teeth, you are a very good helper"
We we're having a pretend tea party and grandpa pretended to spill his hot chocolate, on purpose, and then have a fit, she said, " ok now you are on timeout" after a minute grandpa thought time out was over and she said, " I am the mother and you are the son and you are in timeout for 4 minutes" after her 4 minutes she said, " do you know why you were in timeout?" She has been taught well!
During sacrament meeting, during the sacrament she tapped her pointer finger an her round little cheek and said, I'm thinking about Jesus"
She had asked us to come up on Friday (which we did), before we left she said, "you should get your calendar and come Wednesday next time so you can stay longer".
Oh, melt my heart! Ansel was as cute as can be too. He just doesn't talk as much yet! Also the poor little buddy was sick.
What a great weekend. Thanks Brandi, Elsa and Ansel! We missed Tim and hope he gets home safe.
